COVID Protocol

The Fresh Hop Group recognizes that it has been a long time since we have all been together and we are looking forward to seeing you all soon. During these uncertain times, we want to ensure that we are providing you with a fun and safe event while also complying with all COVID safety measures as required by the State of Washington. We have, therefore, developed protocols that we expect all of our attendees to follow for the benefit of all attendees, our volunteers and vendors. We strongly encourage all attendees to consider getting vaccinated. It is the single best way each of us can protect ourselves and the other participants at the Fresh Hop Ale Festival and the broader community.

The COVID protocols for the October 2, 2021 Fresh Hop Ale Festival are as follows:

  1. Compliance
All attendees must comply with these guidelines. The Fresh Hop Group reserves the right to refuse admittance or remove attendees from the Fresh Hop Ale Festival grounds for non-compliance.
  2. Masking Requirements
All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, are encouraged to wear masks while outdoors unless eating or drinking.  All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks while indoors, unless eating or drinking.
  3. Health Attestation
All attendees will complete a health attestation/waiver form at the point of entry on the day of the Fresh Hop Ale Festival stating that you do not have any active symptoms of Covid-19.
  4. Changes to Policy
The Fresh Hop Group will be monitoring Washington State COVID requirements on an ongoing basis through the day of the event. This policy is subject to change as Washington State COVID requirements evolve and change. Changes to these protocols will be emailed to attendees and posted on site the day of the event. Please be flexible in accepting any changes so we can all enjoy a safe and fun event.

The Fresh Hop Group Announces Move in 2021

The Fresh Hop Ale Festival will be moving to the SOZO Sports Complex located at 2200 S. 36th Ave, Yakima WA 98903

With the current phase system in place and the requirements of spacing for festivals/fairs, the Fresh Hop Group made the decision to move the festival to better accommodate guests, volunteers and staff.

Given the current guidelines for festivals, we felt that the responsible choice would be to move to a space that will allow us to actually hold the festival this year. It’s important that we start planning as if we will still be in Phase 3 and we could only do that with the square footage that SOZO has. Of course, we hope that restrictions will lift before the festival, but can’t guarantee a full opening for our kind of event.

Megan Nobbs, Festival Chair

The park-like setting that SOZO Sports Complex offers is ideal for the comfort of attendees and will guarantee that all of the necessary health requirements will be met for festivals at this time. Additional bathrooms, hand-washing stations and a larger festival area will be key to a keeping everyone healthy while they still have a fantastic time.

We will have over 60 beer vendors, wineries and cideries as well as live music and great food just like we always do. With a larger grass field, we will have ample room for people to bring blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the experience. We will also have a series of shuttles that will run from local hotels and central points across the city to make it easy to get back and forth the day of the event. If you prefer to drive yourself, SOZO has over 2,000 parking spaces on site! It will be $5 to park your vehicle, but as SOZO is another local non-profit, the money will be put to good use!

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, June 8th at 8AM.
VIP ($95) and General Admission ($50) will both be available to purchase at that time.

A call for volunteers will be posted via social media and our website in early July.
